*I'm only leaving five stars to hope everyone sees this! *My fiance was rushed up here on the evening of the 3rd having lost allot of blood and being unconsious...The following afternoon he was discharged still being dosed up and having lost allot of blood - this isn't even the worse of it...He was discharged with no way of getting home and with only wearing a hospital gown. He asked them if they had spare clothes and shoes so he could atleast walk home. They made him wait around for three hours only to tell him (a mentally ill patient too) that he doesn't qualify for hospital transport. At that point they gave him hospital pyjamas, and a pair of socks, then was made to walk back from the hospital to home in 2 degrees and rain for an hour.Where is the duty of care here? I am livid beyond belief. Not only was this embarrassing for him and detrimental to his mental illness, but he now has cut up feet, and was extremely cold when he arrived home. Again, like I said, this was the afternoon of the following day of him being taken up here in an emergency. This hospital is disgusting. No NHS cut backs take away their duty of care tawords vulnerable patients. And to the staff of this hospital, I hope you see this, and I guarantee you I'm in the process of taking this further with legal action...BTW, I'd rate this 0 stars, but this isn't exactly an option.

My husband has been in and out of this hospital a few times. The last time was an absolute nightmare. He was dying with cancer in Keats ward. The only way I can possibly describe this ward is hell on earth. The noise there is unreal. Not just unruly visitors playing loud radios but also some of the staff are so loud I'm convinced they must have hearing problems. They also have made an art of avoiding people even when standing in front of them at the desk. My husband discharged himself and died two days later at home. It was the best decision he could have made. The hospice that we had been trying to arrange a place for him called after he had died with an appointment. Our GP had to wait over a week to get the details of my husbands treatment from the hospital so he could do the certificate for the registrar. This held up his burial and caused untold stress. I am dreading the day that I will have to go into this hospital. Unfortunately its the only one around.

Admitted on to Keats Ward and treated with great care.Staff were very friendly and professional.Ward was very clean and well run. Food excellent and needs well catered for.A really positive experience. Well done the excellent Medway Maritime.
