ticket machine works when it wants to. once i had to buy another ticket to make it to work on time because there was no staf around.they were also very quick to fine me when i lost my ticket. absolutely dissapointed to be honest
I tried 3 stations today in the mornig to buy a weekly train ticket in advance Weds start date, strood chatham and Rochester I was told no the machine does not allow you to. They are quick to give you a fine if you do not travel with a bought ticket. Staff tried the stand alone machine it does not allow you to either. Staffs tried on line no joy.poor service high speed crowded no seat and the tickt is expensive. Trains always late and dirty. The sooner they nationallise this service the better. Overseas competition needed ASAP. Bad weather no trains and we get no pay for not going to work its a joke.
Lots to see. Lots of familiar stores plus I discovered "the ranch"
helpful staff and clean station
I use Gillingham train station alot to get to medway hospital with my youngst son and from time to time I need to take my 3 year old along with me. Now I have a double buggy I need to use for these occasions and you get maybe ten seconds from when the doors open to when they shut. Trying to lift a heavy double buggy over that silly big gap in ten seconds has twice resulted on the train doors Shutting on my sons and me hurting myself trying to stop it happening. Not happy!! The guards and the driver need to pay more attention!
